
Through their Human Resources departments, MADECO and its subsidiaries seek to have a positive influence on their corporate culture, generating benefits that will improve their staff’s quality of life. Thus, among others, the following initiatives have been put into practice:
- Train Stakeholders in responsible handling of alcohol and drugs consumption.
- Provide information activities, talks and training in the Prevention of Alcohol and Drugs Abuse. Our subsidiary Indalum, for example, has made interesting progress in this area, drawing up a company policy that aims to prevent such abuse at the same time that it collaborates in the rehabilitation of people affected by drug abuse.
- Internal Olympiads to Promote Healthy Life and Coexistence between workers from different areas in the company.
- Approach our workers’ families by rewarding the academic success of their children and through programs of “Social Qualification Scholarships” for workers’ wives.
People management, transparency and equitableness:
Additionally to their annual training programs, the companies in the Madeco group have sought the achievement of an integral development of their workers, through programs such as “Completion of Primary and Secondary Education”. Has allowed its employees to complete their primary and/or secondary education; educational program to finance careers at the technical and professional levels and scholarships that subsidize part of the specialization courses related to their work.
